You can charter a boat tour to visit the eight Channel Islands.  Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, Santa Barbara, San Nicolas, San Clemente, and Santa Catalina.

Five Islands are part of the Channel Island National Park and are located off the coast of Santa Barbara.  These protected, isolated islands have a unique natural environment.  The Channel Islands are often referred to as the Galapagos Islands of North America.  There is a variety of flora and fauna—including bird species—to see, and scenic beauty to photograph.  A knowledgeable guided tour will help you to appreciate these pristine islands.

Santa Cruz Island is popular for water sports including Sea Kayaking and Diving.  The sea temperature ranges from 55-65 degrees Fahrenheit and is warmest during the summer.  If you are looking to go sea kayaking, go with a guided group.  Go guided!

The conditions are always changing when you are offshore, and it is smart to have a professional familiar with the local surroundings.  There are a number of guided tours to choose from.  The small kayaking groups with eight people pluse the guide are ideal for the best learning experience.

To get the most out of this new world, the safest way is to have a good guide.  Go guided!

Santa Catalina Island

Santa Catalina is the most populated island, with the center of population in the city of Avalon. The mild climate attracts visitors year round.

The most distinctive landmark is the Casino building built in 1929.  In the past, the big-band swing music was broadcast across the country from the Avalon Casino Terrace Ballroom.

Santa Catalina has been called many things, but one phrase always comes to mind, and that is the “Port of Charm.”
